About The Activity
College Track is a national college access and success program that supports students from underserved communities to graduate from college. The goal of the College Track’s Wellness Program is to help our scholars stay or become resilient and thriving young adults by providing them with social-emotional tools such as relationship skills, emotional intelligence, stress management, and decision-making. To this end, interns carry a caseload of 25-30 students, whose academic performance and pro-social skill development they track biweekly through counseling and support. CT is a non-emergency facility. It does not diagnose or treat mental illness. Referrals are made if these needs arise and weekly advising sessions are deemed insufficient to fully support students.
